Fu Wencheng opened his onyx eyes to a familiar tall ceiling.

The man’s ivory skin and contrasting black hair illuminated a fatal attraction to all those around. Dark phoenix eyes squinted with annoyance and cherry red lips puckered into a grim smile as the sun light assaulted his sensitive eyes.

A mechanical whir started and a tiny holographic man appeared. The blonde haired man cheered in a sweet voice, “Good morning, Fu Wencheng. I love you, Fu Wencheng! I love you! I love you!”

Wencheng removed his sheets and sat up. He covered his face with one hand seemingly exhausted, but beneath this, Wencheng was grinning maniacally to himself.

“Stupid dog. You really are something, now aren’t you? My loyal pet. To mess with my things. Really daring.”

Wencheng stood up and walked over to his alarm clock that was soiled by the touch of another.

He caressed it and picked it up…

Only to throw it at the wall, smashing the clock to bits and pieces for the android to quickly sweep up and retreat.

He trudged his way downstairs and plopped himself on a red chair; in front of a bowl of freshly made oat meal accompanied by a plate of fruits and a cup of dark coffee.

Finished with his meal, the pale youth opened up his mind to the ethernet and was immediately bombarded by multiple notifications from ‘Dog’ and a few passing invitation from so and so.

Wencheng laughed loudly, “Good. Good. Loyal Dog, you are really overstepping your boundaries. Given an inch, only to take a mile. Time for me to put you back in your place like the mutt you are. Really think that this young master will open his heart to you.”

Wencheng made a short message to ‘Dog’: “Meet me at S Café.”

Without any specific time or date given, Wencheng was quickly replied with: “Okay, I’ll meet you there right away!”

This response made Wencheng laugh at the naivety and stupidity of the person beyond his own screen. Wencheng made no move to go meet ‘Dog’ at the destination. Instead, he threw on some clothes made by X, Y and Z designer; a simple white turtleneck with a black pants and shoes. Before leaving his penthouse, he threw on an equally as black colored jacket on.

He pulled his soft tufts of hair behind his ear and strutted his way to H Club, a famous club that dealt in the underhanded methods of prostitution and illegal dealings. Despite the atrocities that occur on a daily there, it was quite privy to only VIP members, such as Fu Wencheng.

It was popular with the elitists for the numerous affairs and shady deals that went unnoticed by the media and normal masses.

Fu Wencheng was no stranger to this club nor to countless of other visitors.

Fu Wencheng was infamous for his tantalizing looks and cold demeanor. It was unknown when he first came about and how he snuck his way into the hearts of many. No one knew who Wencheng was or his background, but it only added to his limitless charm.

Wencheng was a highly sought for commodity. He plucked at the heartstrings of numerous wealthy, important men and women. Wencheng used his beauty to control the so-called ‘in love’ individuals to do his bidding, all the while thinking they were, in some way, unique.

Whether or not they all found out about Wencheng’s infidelity mattered little to Wencheng. After all, he was doing it for fun and it wasn’t like he was afraid of losing everything he had, not even his own life.

One could say Fu Wencheng was a lax man.

The opposite could be said about his stalker.

Chao Heng.

While Fu Wencheng was infamous for his looks, Chao Heng was known for his utmost perseverance. He followed Wencheng like a loyal dog. And similar to Wencheng, his background was just as mysterious. They did know one thing – he was the young master of the Chao family.

If Wencheng was found to be walking on the streets of C City, then Chao Heng would also be found lurking beside Wencheng.

Before Wencheng had exposed Heng as a stalker, many had assumed that they were good friends and treated Heng as a nuisance. But now that their God had given them a way of venting, the mass of equally love-struck fools ostracized the heir of Chao industries.

Despite the rumors and lack of corporate deals available, Chao industries still thrived. This was the main thing that Wencheng found to be interesting. He was even slightly curious at the mastermind behind Chao Industries.

This curiosity was what made him seek out Chao Heng for information. Through the usage of alcohol and seductive teasing, Wencheng asked who was controlling Chao Industries. Even while deeply drunk, Chao Heng refused to give Wencheng the answer. To be denied by his seemingly loyal dog, Wencheng was beyond pissed.

Eventually Chao Heng relented and stated that it they dated for a month, he’d spill the beans.

This only made Wencheng even more interested and so, he agreed to date Chao Heng for one month. Chao Heng then abruptly passed out after said agreement.

And so this relationship ensued. It has been a week since the deal was made and Chao Heng became an utter nuisance to Wencheng. He never allowed Wencheng to go out to play and always followed around like a lost puppy.

Chao Heng constantly touched Wencheng’s things, causing his mysophobia to lash out it many different ways.

This irritated Wencheng to the ends of the galaxy as he had no answer to satiate his curiosity and was pushed to a caged life. Wencheng took matters into his own hands and tried to investigate Chao Heng, the young master of Chao Industries.

Yet, with all the connections that Wencheng had, he was still unable to contact any of Chao Heng’s close family members or such. It didn’t help much that Chao Heng’s phone had an eight character password, but much to Wencheng’s amusement, Chao Heng’s lockscreen was a picture of Wencheng.

One day when Wencheng had enough, he took Chao Heng to a nightclub to play. Except Chao Heng lingered everywhere Wencheng went, annoying all of Wencheng’s followers to death. Wencheng got so angry that he berated Chao Heng in front of everyone for being a bad boyfriend.

That shut up Chao Heng for the rest of the night as he sulked in the corner as he drank his sorrows away. He ended up getting drunk with thoughts other than he needed to cling onto Wencheng.

Wencheng was half-minded to just leave him at the nightclub for the others to enjoy, but as they were ‘dating’ and Wencheng is extremely possessive of anything remotely his, Wencheng got his android chauffeur to drop off Chao Heng at his penthouse while Wencheng went to go play with one of his many billionaire lovers.

Just because Wencheng is possessive of his things and had a boyfriend, didn’t mean that he would allow himself to be exclusive or owned. Of course, that also didn’t mean that Chao Heng had to know about this fact.

This was how Fu Wencheng and Chao Heng became boyfriend and boyfriend.

And how Wencheng’s alarm clock was fiddled with.

But no matter, Wencheng had other matters to deal with.

Such as his long time associate, Wei Long, asking him to come play at H Nightclub.

When Wencheng’s ash, custom-made Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita arrived at the nightclub, the door was promptly opened by his android chauffeur and his feet met the pavement. Wencheng’s slender fingers brushed through his hair as he sighed in content.

The nightclub was where Wencheng could feel truly alive, no matter the day or time. He was like a fish in water.

As the guards opened the door for him, he was met with the familiar scene of looking down upon a mass of gyrating bodies slick with sweat and the crisp sounds of downed shot glasses.

A ebony-haired man waved at Wencheng from a private booth that held two flirtatious looking women that were dressed to impress in short skirts and tube tops that accentuated their luscious breasts almost spilling out.

What an envious sight to see two beautiful women sitting side by side a handsome man, one woman on the right and another on the left.

Wencheng made his way over and whistled, “Can you even keep up with anything other than your right hand, Wei Small?”

Wei Long’s nerve was struck and he smiled, irritated, “Hahahaha. Enough with the jokes, brother  Wencheng. I have enough to pass around to each and every lady here, unlike you who can’t get it up for one woman.”

Wencheng eyes twinkled at Wei Long, deviously, “What can I say? Men are just so much… more…”

Wencheng excused the two ladies and slipped himself through Wei Long’s arm. He put his hand on Wei Long’s inner thigh.

“Maybe you should give me a taste,” whispered Wencheng in Wei Long’s ear.

Wei Long’s ear turned as red as a tomato and he tried to remove the grasp Wencheng had on his thigh that was slowly inching itself to a very sensitive organ.

As slender fingers made their way inward, Wencheng gazed into Wei Long’s eyes that were slowly accepting Wencheng’s advances.

Just as Wencheng was about to grip onto Little Wei Long, Wei Long fell out of his stupor and pushed Wencheng away.

Wei Long made a full 180 as he glared hatefully at Wencheng, “I am not a fling.

Cherry red lips pouted, “Who said you were? Wei. Long.

Wei Long didn’t back down and harshly spat out, “Plus I’m sure that your boyfriend wouldn’t like to wear a green hat and I especially don’t want to be one of your many mistresses.”

Wencheng decreased the already close gap between them, caressing Wei Long’s jawline, “Relationships can be made and mended but also broken. And just to remain clear… You wouldn’t be a mistress…”

Wei Long’s breath halted as his resolve to not be a fling started to dissolve into nothing. He became putty under Wencheng’s seduction.

“You’d be one of my many misters.” Wencheng mused at his own sadistic humor.

As easy as it was to seduce Wei Long, it was even easier to crush Wei Long’s budding love for Wencheng. Wencheng watched as Wei Long’s intoxicated face morphed into a myriad of hatred and self-loathing.

Wei Long softly spat out, “You really know how to make people love and hate you, Fu Wencheng.”

Wencheng increased the distance between the two and shrugged in nonchalance.

He was used to it and as good as Wei Long was as an associate, Wencheng loved to see the sheer and utter hatred of himself in a sea of faces that showered him with sickly sweet hearts.

It was beautiful.

Wencheng loved to see as their fragile love was shattered into nothingness and mutilated to become a deep web of hatred.

It was, in more ways than one, a turn on for Fu Wencheng.

Then a call notification popped up.

[ Accept or decline call from ‘Dog’? ]

All the while, Wei Long made a wry look as he peeked a look at Wencheng – who was lazily lounging on the dark red couch, arms spread out. Wei Long scoffed as he saw the uncaring attitude of the attractive incubus and made his way to escaping the abyss that Wencheng was.

‘Accept.’

The lone figure of an alluring man sat in a dimly lit booth made many bystanders gaze on with lust.

After he accepted the call, a holograph that only Wencheng could see popped up. The recipient was a blonde haired, smoky eyed youth who looked dejected and dull, but as he finally realized that his call was answered, he perked up. The youth wagged his metaphorical tail side to side in excitement that his beloved finally answered his call.

The bright eyed youth mewled, “Where are you? I’ve been waiting here at S Café for a few hours now and – not that I mind! I’ve just been worried that something might have happened to you!”

Wencheng propped up his face with his hand, leering at the young boy who didn’t look a day older than 18. If Wencheng wasn’t Wencheng, many would have lamented that it was an old horse eating young grass.

Wencheng wasn’t old per se as he was only 22.

But when compared to the handsome and naive youth, Wencheng seemed to be much older than Chao Heng with his life experience and whatnot. Chao Heng was well-known as the love struck puppy with seemingly no knowledge of the dangerous world beyond the castle walls of Chao Industries and as Wencheng’s current innocent boyfriend.

Wencheng smiled – a soft dimple formed – and his phoenix eyes softened. The silence became deafening as Wencheng didn’t respond.

The best way to deal with the puppy love this boy had for Wencheng was to just make him believe that Wencheng secretly loved him more than he showed. The little things mattered and what not.

The silence was broken as Chao Heng’s face darkened drastically, “Are you in a nightclub?”

Or Wencheng could just be himself.

“If I am?” Wencheng teased Chao Heng.

“So when you contacted me to meet you here,” Chao Heng paused, looking at Wencheng’s ridiculing eyes, “You were actually at a nightclub? Was this all a ploy to throw me off your back?”

Wencheng beamed, “My little Chao Heng is so smart. If I had told you to meet up with me, I knew you’d never think that I would never meet up with you. Your trust in me is adorable.~”

Chao Heng was silent and stared at the hologram of the man he loves with all his being as his heart twisted into itself, “Am I that annoying to you that your would do this? Am I not your lover now?”

“You are an eyesore. And you are my lover along with X, Y and Z.” Wencheng sang happily as he abruptly ended the call.

Unbeknownst to Wencheng, Chao Heng flipped the table along with the two cold cups of coffee, spilling the dark liquid catered to exactly how Wencheng liked it and spreading shards of woods and glass in the empty café.

Chao Heng roared in anger and hurt as the person he so dearly loved… Treated him like a toy.

But even if Wencheng knew, it mattered little to him.

Nothing mattered to Fu Wencheng.

And that’s what made him a plausible candidate to be System 998’s host.
